As described on the Infrastructure Ontario website the Hwy 407 extension will be 19 km east from Brock Road to Simcoe Street with a 10 km Link south to connect with the 401, to be located just east of Lakeridge Rd. The Highway 407 extension includes:
6 lanes east from Brock Road to the Lakeridge Link (approx 10 km)
and 4 lanes east from the Lakeridge Link to Simcoe St (approx 9 km)
Interchanges at Brock Road, Lake Ridge Road, Baldwin Street (Hwy 7 / 12), Thickson Road, and potentially at Simcoe Street
The Lakeridge Link includes:
a 4 lane south freeway to connect Hwy 407 and 401 (approx 10 kilometres) with interchanges at Highway 407 and 7, as well as Taunton Road and Dundas Street
